About: The almshouses at Tregony are also called the Gallery for obvious reasons. They were original intended as a 'hospital for decayed housekeepers' but by the end of the 19th century all the remained were the walls and two end chimneys. An extensive rebuild took place in 1897 and today this attractive building provides six flatlets for elderly residents and is maintained by the Boscawen Trust.
