Wheal Coates mine as seen from the beach at Porthtowan. The engine house that stands beside Towanroath Shaft is in a spectacular setting as it lies half way down the cliff between St. Agnes and Chapel Porth. This coastline is littered with the remains of the now dormant Cornish Mining Industry.
