The stern of the lovely boat Ellen, A Gorran Haven Crabber.
Built in 1882 by Dick Pill for the Willmott Family she is reputed to be the fastest Gorran Haven Crabber built.

Ellen is a typical inshore Cornish fishing boat but her Spritsail rig is specific to Gorran Haven with dimensions of length 17ft beam 6ft and draft of 2ft 6ins. By 1900 she was being fished by the Billings brothers, Dick and Andrew, who moved to Flushing with Ellen as there were too many crabbers in Gorran Haven!
