The Saint Piran Fisheries Patrol vessel has been in active service since 2000. The Cornwall Sea Fisheries Committee is based at Penzance and it is responsible for the statutory enforcement of fishing legislation around Cornwall's coastline. Fisheries officers can inspect vessels, catches and equipment both at sea and when docked to ensure compliance with local bye laws, national legislation and EU regulations
