At almost 100 feet the tower at St. Brevita is one of the highest in Cornwall. It is visible for some distance along the Ridgeway route south to wards Fowey and it is thought that in earlier times its southern face was whitened with lime-wash to act as a landmark for sailing ships entering Fowey harbour.
