This photograph shows a calm sea and makes the harbour wall look very safe and welcoming for a walk. Sea conditions in the outer harbour can be treacherous and unfortunately there has been more than one occasion when someone has been washed off the wall in a storm. Barriers are now in place but even then we have seen the foolhardy jump over.
