The river that runs down the beach at Duckpool is very fast running and fairly large. In recent years there has been an easy crossing where people have dammed the river with large stones but on the occasion we took this photograph this had obviously been swept away. We got to the other side of the beach via the bridge way up river and then down the banks but we did see several people get a real soaking trying to jump from stone to stone.
