The sea pounding around the base of the cliffs is a reminder of the need of a lighthouse on this part of the coastline. There is a book called 'Lost off Trevose Cornish Shipwrecks of Trevose Head' by Brian French which covers vessels lost on Trevose Head and the surrounding waters from 1700 to the present
