Lerryn is three miles from the ancient town of Lostwithiel and about ten miles from either St.Austell, Bodmin or Liskeard with Fowey close by via a short ferry ride. The sun when it appeared was very bright and warm for this time of the year but dark ominous clouds were never far away.
