The very cold winter has resulted in the late flowering of the roadside daffodils throughout the county. Spring colour was everywhere in the pretty village of Altarnun. Daffodil is a common English name whereas Narcissus is the botanic name for a genus of mainly hardy, mostly spring-flowering, bulbs in the Amaryllis family. So we are not sure what to call the flowers but they certainly look great.
