On such a beautiful day with the bright blue sky the fog horns stand out but on a foggy day they earn their keep. The modern electric fog signal which is located on the lantern balcony, beeps at just under 120 dB and can be heard at least 4 miles away.Today the old siren with the big horns are only used on special occasions
