On the village green is this lovely old water pump. Today at St Michael Penkivel the blacksmith's forge is a house and there are no shops and the post office only opens in the morning. A mobile library visits twice a month but the villagers have many activities during the year. Cricket matches between the farmers and the estate workers are always popular.
