The Boathouse below the Fern Pit Cafe is over 100 years old and houses the ferry along with the rowing boats during the winter months. In the summer this boathouse doubles as a beach shop which sells the usual beach stuff like buckets, spades, wind breaks, body boards, games and beach balls.
