Wheal Rose Engine House is four miles south of Newquay near the village of St.Newlyn East. It is signposted from the B3075 Newquay-Redruth road. Lead was found there in 1812 and there was also a silver content in the lead ore the mine now forms part of the Lappa Valley leisure complex.
