The Vicarage at Morwenstow is remarkable as it has chimneys modeled on the towers of the churches that the Rev Hawker had known in his life. There are representations of Tamerton where he had been curate Wellcombe just across the border in Devon plus that of Magdalen College Oxford. Strangely the old kitchen chimney is a replica of Hawker's Mother's tomb.
