The level crossing and slipway at the site of the disused Golant Railway Station ,which was opened on 1 July 1896 by the Great Western Railway. It was a very simple platform by the waterside and no luggage was allowed to be sent to this unmanned station. The passenger service to Golant was withdrawn in 1965 and the station later demolished the space is now used as a small car park.
