This amazing viaduct at Luxulyan was constructed to carry horse drawn wagons and water across the Luxulyan valley.
It was part of a local transport system that was designed to carry china clay to the port of Par. Joseph Treffry was named the King of Mid Cornwall as this was the first large granite viaduct to be built in Cornwall and a remarkable achievement.
