From this high vantage point overlooking Cadgwith it is possible to make out the strip of land that divides the two coves of Cadgwith. This promontory is called The Todden and on the north-east side is the larger beach made mostly of shingle with a shallow slope that is locally called either the Big Beach or The Cove or Fishing Beach and even at times the Working Cove. The other smaller beach on the south-west side has a mixture of sand and large boulders and is referred to locally as the Little Cove or Little Beach
