At Trebarwith when the tide is at its lowest and the sea has receded an expanse of sand in excess of half mile wide is uncovered When the tide comes in the sands are swiftly covered by the incoming seas and all that is left are the rocks at the base of the cliffs. Frequent strong winds off the Atlantic Ocean make this and excellent surfing beach but the conditions were not ideal when this photograph was taken.
