Arthurian Legend abounds in Cornwall and several places claim to have associations with the King. Dozmary Pool is reputed to be the location that Arthur rowed out to claim his mighty sword Excalibur. It was also to Dozmary Pool that Excalibur was returned by Bedwyr after the fateful Battle of Camlann
