Place: St Just | Category: Heritage | Photograph Added: 31st July 2007
The Cornish flag is said to represent the Saint of the tin miners, St. Piran. The black background is thought to represent the ashes of the smelting fires and the white symbolises the colour of the metal. St Just was once the mining centre of the Cornwall and disused engine houses dominate the landscape.
