The waterside at Saltash offers lots of interesting walks and all with a panoramic view of the Tamar Bridges. The road bridge opened in 1961 when it was the longest suspension bridge in the United Kingdom. In 2001 it also became the world's first suspension bridge to be widened it grew from three to five lanes.
