This bridge was built in 1468 by the Reverend Thomas Lovibond. It is known as the bridge on Wool from a local legend that it was founded on sacks of wool. it was widened in 1853 and again in 1963 and refurbished in 1994. This is a photograph of the sign on the Old Bridge at Wadebridge
