Small Fleet

About: The village of Coverack still maintains a small fishing fleet. Due to this harbours size and tidal nature it was probably never able to support the larger traditional sail boats that were common is harbours such as Porthleven, Penzance and Newlyn.

About: Coverack is in every sense of the words a small fishing village. Its harbour is also pretty small with its wall made from local hornblende and serpentine.

About: During our visit to Coverack we sat for a long time beside the harbour wall watching the comings and goings and enjoying the view. Lots of different groups and families came and went and nearly everyone took advantage of the stone seating.
