About: Coastal erosion has worn back the cliff at Bedruthan and left huge outcrops of rock scattered along the length of the beach. These towering monoliths make wonderful photographs and the setting sun and reflections make a spectacular photograph

About: The sun had set when this photograph was taken and the long exposure needed to capture this image has made the sea almost stand still. The sand and sea at Bedruthan look very inviting but swimming is unsafe at all times.

About: The setting sun at Bedruthan Steps makes the large rock formations look almost surreal. There are quite a few quite tricky steps to get down onto the beach at Bedruthan but for those able to make it the experience is worth it.

About: If the steps down to the beach at Bedruthan are too much to tackle then the walk across the cliff paths is recommended. The views are stunning and the profusion of wild flowers makes a carpet of yellow to give this photograph foreground interest.

These offshore stacks were created by the action of the waves, but legend attributes these outcrops to the Cornish giant Bedruthan who used them as stepping stones. The exposed high stacks on the beach include Redcliff Island, Samaritan Rock, and the pinnacle of Queen Bess Rock complete with ruff but the head of Queen Bess fell off during violent storms in 1982.
The route down to the beach at Bedruthan Steps is not for the fainthearted. Those able to negotiate the steep steps are rewarded at the bottom with a beautiful gold beach. Please note however that care must be taken while on the beach especially when exploring the small coves in the area. The tide here comes in quickly and it is easy to get cut off.
For those feel unable to get to the beach the area is still more that worth a visit with some of the best cliff walks in Cornwall.
