About: An Iron Age Cemetery was excavated at Harlyn Bay and the remains that were unearthed can be seen in the Royal Cornwall Museum. Our Iron Age forefathers would not have had the time or inclination to spend a day at the beach with a bucket and spade.

About: The youngsters with their body-boards were quite disappointed at the size of the waves but were still eager to enjoy the sunshine which for most of the summer months this year was non existent.

About: Photographed last month it is amazing what a difference a few weeks can make to the weather. When the sun is shining there can be few nicer places to enjoy a walk on the beach than at Harlyn Bay.

About: Even though the sea was relatively calm on this day it is very important for people to swim between the red and yellow flags placed on the beach by the Lifeguards.
