   BACK

About Tresillian Cornwall.

The Tresillian River is a tributary of the River Fal with the city of Truro about two miles away and the Roseland Peninsula, with its lovely beaches and coastal walks, within a very short distance. The river itself has many interesting and varied walks and is a haven for wild birds and many other species of wildlife.
The Tresillian River rises to the west of the River Fal close to Fraddon. It flows southward though Laddock and then enters tidal mud flats at Tresillian. The River converges with the Truro River at Malpas, which then flows south to join the River Fal. Creeks of the Tresillian River include Bar, St. Clements, Tresemple, Kiggon and Merther, the latter three of which were small creeks which were dammed to form fish ponds.
Parking the car at Tresillian and taking a walk along the river is well recommended at any time of the year. Each season has its own delights and the peace and quiet of the river is wonderful after a weeks work.
